My Journey
My name is Nadir Rasheed and I am the Author of the book "Poetry in Motion". I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and now reside in Delaware. Since the age of 12, I have always put my thoughts, experiences and journeys on paper. The words of a Poet are typically a MIRROR of the SOCIETY we live in. With the thoughts and words that often INSPIRE me, I am hopefully able to INSPIRE the hearts, minds, and goals each of you have.
As a United States Marine who served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, I truly see LIFE through the lens of HUMANITY.
To me, Poetry is like LIFE. It can be HAPPY, SAD, SERIOUS, and even COMICAL. Like LIFE, POETRY is ACTION, MOTION and MOVEMENT. I believe that EVERY SECOND of our LIVES is moving toward a predestined JOURNEY.
